Architecture, Inc. provided architectural and interior design services for an 18,000 sf LEED Gold interior fit-out, designed intently for the future expansion of an additional 15,000+ sf in adjacent unfinished space within the existing building. The facility includes a Product Development (R&D) Lab spanning 8,200 sf, equipped with several lab benches to accommodate up to 42 researchers. Adjacent to the main lab area are nine support spaces designed for various research and analysis functions. The open office area features numerous huddle and conference rooms, with hexagonal accent lighting inspired by molecular science-oriented research. Maximizing natural light was a key focus throughout the design in the main lab and open office areas to enhance the working environment for all QIAGEN staff members. Photography by Jeff Jackson.
