Media Research Center

Consolidation of the new headquarters to an individual floor with designated program areas and departments was important for improved cohesion and collaboration for the Media Research Center's mission. The space mirrors the media industry’s dramatic changes over the past ten years. Typesetters and headlines are things of the past. Twitter users, bloggers, and other social media broadcast the news instantaneously. Live television reporting is replaced by a blue screen recording studio within the suite, remotely edited in Boston, and broadcast internationally. The project strives to seamlessly meld a traditional aesthetic with a clean, contemporary material palette. Rich mahogany, crisp stainless steel, and white rectified tile define the contrasting palette. The space was intended to unify departments and groups into one cohesive brand.
