Ballston Tower

After a through-block building lobby was reconfigured to create a more secure single point of entry, the remaining 1,395 sf entry vestibule and elevator lobby was updated through a complete renovation. The dated dropped ceiling in the elevator lobby concealed large angled building structural elements. In order to mask these joists more creatively, an organic folded ceiling treatment was developed to maximize the volume of the space while creating a fresh modern aesthetic. The custom sculptural reception desk is molded from solid surface material, visually floating above the floor on a lighted reveal.
