Architecture, Inc. is providing architectural design services for prototype design and site adaptions of new and renovated grocery stores throughout Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland for German global discount supermarket chain Lidl. Individual locations range between 25,000 sf and 35,000 sf in rural, suburban, and urban markets, and include the adaptive reuse of repurposed big box retail buildings. Since 2017, our firm has completed multiple local Lidl locations including: Manassas, VA; Culpepper, VA; Woodbridge, VA; Hagerstown, MD; and Camp Springs, MD. Operating over 10,000 stores across Europe and the United States, Lidl offers mostly private-label brands while emphasizing its organic food and fresh produce selections.
