Located prominently on L’Enfant Plaza in Southwest Washington, DC, the modernist L’Enfant Plaza Hotel has undergone a complete renovation and reopened as the Hilton Washington DC National Mall Hotel. The 1973 building was designed by Washington, DC architect Vlastimil Koubek. The complex interior renovation comprises the entire Plaza level containing a lobby, restaurant, bar, kitchen, meeting rooms, ballroom, administrative spaces, and other common areas; in addition to the 367 keys on the top four floors. MEP systems, many shared with the eight-story office building component of the property, were upgraded throughout. Exterior work includes replacement of the entry canopy and approach drive, guestroom fenestration, a solarium, and a replacement of an outdoor pool deck located on the twelfth floor. The LEED Silver design is the coordinated effort of Studio HBA, Architecture, Inc., Stanford Hotels, and Hilton.
