With this vision, his leadership of the firm’s education practice improved the quality of design and educational landscape of schools and cultural facilities across the Washington, DC metro area. Applying almost 40 years of design and project management experience with his developed sensitivity to the unique programmatic needs in the K-12 sector, Rusty propelled the collaborative design process forward and closely manages each phase of a project from conception to completion. His approach influenced projects from new construction through small-scale renovations and additions for learning spaces, cultural institutions, and museums.
