Thursday, October 15, 2020

Featured in Learning by Design Fall 2020, Coolidge Senior High School / Ida B. Wells Middle School was awarded “Outstanding Project” in the Combined-Level School category.

The project was juried for renovation/adaptive reuse/restoration and the jurors said of the project, “The project seems to deeply recognize and meet the needs of its users and community. The glass atriums are beautiful spaces and I am really impressed by the balance of modern pushes within the historic fabric.” Further, “Nice to see a historic structure redeveloped as opposed to torn down.” And, “This project does a very good job in honoring the investment of previous generations by revitalizing a partially abandoned building for 21st century learning.”
