Architecture, Incorporated competes in Gingertown 2017
Wednesday, December 6, 2017
Gingertown is a charitable gingerbread building event hosted by David M. Schwarz Architects (DMSAS). Our firm was a proud sponsor of the event, which raised $27,000 for DC-area charities. The recipient organizations include Children’s National Medical Center, Community of Hope, Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital, So Others Might Eat, Family Matters, and The Wendt Center for Loss & Healing.
Each year, DMSAS creates the master plan and theme, with various lots open for sponsorship. With a master theme of “Gingerland,” our team built out the “Rocky Roadsters Go-Karts” lot with Mario Kart and rocky road influences incorporated into the design. A few of the team’s featured design elements include a cotton candy “Cloud Guy,” a rainbow road track, crushed oreo obstacles, and rocky road rice krispies.
You can see the entire Gingertown display at 875 15th Street NW in Washington, DC and vote for the People’s Choice Award, which will be announced December 12. See more information on how to vote on the Gingertown DC website.
